  • Why should I take a efensive driving course?

In addition to becoming a safe driver, our online defensive driving course will help drivers in a number of ways:

  • This course may be used for ticket dismissal (certain conditions apply).
  • This course may be used to keep points off your driving record, which will also keep your insurance rates from increasing.
  • Is your defensive driving course approved in Texas by all courts?

This defensive driving course is approved by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and is accepted by all courts in Texas to dismiss traffic tickets and lower insurance rates. Certain conditions apply.   • Can you give me any details about the course?

The defensive driving course will take six hours (360 minutes) to complete. The state of Texas requires the course to be six hours long; however, you do not have to complete the entire course in one session. Our system will keep track of your progress so you can begin exactly where you ended the previous session.
There are also several course breaks between sections.

  • How much does the course cost?

The cost of the course includes everything from taking the course to delivering your Texas Certificate of Completion; standard delivery (US Postal Service) is free of charge and is sufficient for the majority of our customers. However, if you require express delivery, we offer several options. Either way, we're confident that you'll find our prices to be the lowest on the Internet.

  • Do I have to complete the course all at once?

Our course is designed to be flexible and allows you to sign on and off as many times as you need to.

With online access 24 hours a day, seven days a week, you'll have the flexibility you need to complete the course at your leisure!

  • How does this course lower my insurance rates?

A benefit many drivers are not aware of is that taking a defensive driving course can save you money on your auto insurance.  In Texas, many insurance companies offer a 10% discount on drivers' auto insurance premiums for three years just for taking our course.

Many drivers who have received a traffic ticket in Texas use our course to keep their insurance rates from increasing.  Please contact your insurance carrier to learn more about potential discounts and savings.

  • What happens if I do not pass the final exam?

You can take the final test as many times as you need to without an additional charge.

  • What if I need extra time to complete the course?

If you need extra time to complete the course, write, call or visit the court in the county where you received the ticket and request an extension.   Generally, courts will grant an extension when it is requested before the due date.

  • How do I start the course?

You will provide the following information on the registration form: name, email address, phone number, gender, address, date of birth, driver’s license number and license plate number.  

  • How do I pay for the course?

Registration is processed through our secure online payment processing program, which protects your identify and payment information. You’ll need a credit card or debit card to pay.  We also accept money orders and personal checks via US Mail.

Certificate Delivery

  • What do I do after I complete the defensive driving course online?

When you’ve completed the course and passed your final exam, we’ll send you your Certificate of Completion in the mail.  We send the certificate directly to you so you can forward it to the court where you received the ticket.  If you are on a tight deadline, we offer several expedited delivery options.   You’ll receive your certificate quickly and be able to track its delivery progress.

Your certificate of completion must be mailed to you, not to the court.   Do not use the court’s address as the mailing address – this could cause you to miss the deadline imposed by the court.

  • What options do I have for delivery of my certificate?

    • To ensure you meet your deadline, certificates are processed the same day you complete the course.
    We offer standard shipping; please allow three to five business days to receive your certificate.   If you are on a tight deadline, we offer several expedited delivery options:
